Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula Support
Helping New Mothers Recover, Rebuild, and Feel Held in the First 42 Days After Birth
For generations, mothers were surrounded by care after birth. Nourished with warm foods, supported with healing rituals, and protected from the demands of everyday life.
Ayurvedic postpartum care honours this ancient wisdom, supporting the mother’s body and nervous system through warmth, nourishment, and attentive presence during the sacred weeks after birth.
At Sattva Mama, I offer Ayurvedic Postpartum Care in Dubai for mothers who wish to honor this time with intention and support.
Creating a space where your body is wrapped in warmth, your spirit is nourished with ceremony and care, and your passage into motherhood is held as sacred.
“After birth, there is a sacred window of time. a time of complete rejuvenation of a woman’s physical, mental, and spiritual health. A time for deep extended bonding with her newborn. the first 42 days after birth, set the stage for the next 42 years.”
The first 42 days
In Ayurveda, the weeks after birth are known as a sacred window for healing.
During this time, the mother’s body is open, sensitive, and deeply responsive to the care she receives. Warmth, nourishment, rest, and gentle support help the body gradually rebuild its strength after the intensity of pregnancy and birth.
In Ayurveda, it is said that the first 42 days after birth can influence a mother’s wellbeing for the next 42 years.
This understanding reflects something many women intuitively feel that the early postpartum weeks are not only about recovery, but about laying the foundation for long-term health, energy, and emotional balance.
When a mother is deeply nourished during this time, her body has the opportunity to restore itself more fully.

“Working with Desi was truly one of the greatest gifts during my postpartum recovery journey. From the very beginning, she brought such a warm, calming, nurturing energy into our home and made me feel deeply cared for during one of the most vulnerable times in my life.
Her Ayurvedic healing recipes were absolutely incredible.. Nourishing, comforting, and clearly prepared with so much love and knowledge. I’m celiac, and she was always so thoughtful and careful about adjusting everything to my dietary needs without ever making me feel limited or like I was missing out on anything. Every meal still felt comforting, healing, and delicious. I genuinely feel her food played a huge role in helping my body recover and regain strength.
Her massages were also amazing and became such an important part of my healing process. Grounding, restorative, and deeply comforting both physically and emotionally.
But beyond all of that, what makes Desi so special is the way she cares for mothers. She has such a gentle, intuitive presence and always knew how to make me feel supported, reassured, and safe. She helped me not only recover physically, but also feel emotionally held during those intense early months of motherhood.
I will always be grateful for her support and cannot recommend her enough to any new mom looking for truly holistic, loving postpartum care.”

I’m Desi, an Ayurvedic postpartum doula supporting women through pregnancy and the tender weeks after birth.
I work with mothers in Dubai and online, offering deeply personalised care rooted in Ayurveda and the wise woman tradition.
With a certification in Ayurvedic Postpartum Care through the School of Women’s Ancient Wisdom, 300 hours of training in traditional yoga teaching, and additional specialised studies in women’s health and pregnancy, I’m weaving ancient postpartum practices into modern life.
My work is centred around one thing: helping you feel supported, nourished, and grounded in the first 42 days after birth, so you can recover fully and step into motherhood with strength and stability.
This is not just support for the moment. Traditional postpartum care can have a lasting impact on your energy, emotional wellbeing, and long-term health as a mother.
I work with a limited number of mothers each month, so I can ensure each woman receives the depth of care, presence, and attention this sacred time deserves.
